 Providence, RI – On Saturday, March 29, 2010, hundreds gathered at the Federal Reserve Restaurant in Providence to help the Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island celebrate its 8^th Annual Spring Gala.  The evening featured gourmet dining, spirited bidding, live music, and dancing. 

“We visit, we teach, we provide compassionate care, we are friends, we are a lifeline, we are part of the solution”, stated Donna Gouveia, President and CEO of the VNSGRI, during a speech to guest.  She continued, “Your generous support ensures that, in good times, and in difficult times, we will be there for our patients”.

The event was an enormous success and raised more than $50,000.  Overseen by the agency’s foundation board, proceeds from the evening will underwrite many initiatives, including providing service to the uninsured and underinsured and developing innovative patient-centric programs.
