Meeting Street Announces New Chief Operating Officer
Judith A. Sullivan
Meeting Street is pleased to announce that Judith A. Sullivan has been named Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, Sullivan will oversee the agency’s operations in support of President & CEO, John Kelly. Her essential functions will include the oversight of all Meeting Street direct services including its Early Childhood Services and School Age Services as well as Human Resources, Compliance and Client Records.
Sullivan has served as President & CEO of About Families, a CEDARR center dedicated to providing quality care and support to children with special health care needs and their families. Prior to her leadership role at About Families, Sullivan was General Counsel for both Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and Citizens Financial Group.
“I am excited to join the Meeting Street team and to be able to bring my non-profit and private sector leadership experience to this incredible organization. Meeting Street is uniquely positioned to expand our innovative model of providing the most comprehensive educational and developmental services to all children—with and without special needs” explained Sullivan.
Since relocating to its LEED certified facility in the heart of South Providence five years ago, Meeting Street has grown significantly and has added several new services, including Early Head Start and the Olneyville Early Childhood Initiative. Continued growth is expected as Meeting Street creates a national model designed to help children learn, discover and thrive from birth through age twenty one.
“We are very pleased to welcome Judith as our Chief Operating Officer at Meeting Street. As a leader in healthcare, Judith brings a unique perspective to our work. Her leadership skills and strategic vision will help to continue to move Meeting Street forward as a leader in education and child development for all children from birth to age 21” explained John Kelly, Meeting Street President & CEO.
Sullivan is a graduate of Providence College and Duquesne University School of Law.
