PAWTUCKET, RI – Rippling water cascading over weathered stones and iridescent koi swimming in a reflecting pond will welcome guests to The Westin Providence for Memorial Hospital’s Garden Gala. Committees planning this elegant fundraiser have swung the planning into high gear as the May 15th event date rapidly approaches. Proceeds from this special event will help raise crucial funds to advance technology for information sharing, diagnosis and treatment therapies.
Technology has had a major impact on the field of medicine. It has transformed our lives through enhanced diagnosis and treatment as well as increased safety and efficiency. This new fund for technology will provide the financing to allow Memorial Hospital to improve clinical decision-making and enhance outcomes through better documentation, computer-aided testing and analysis. Enhanced technology will allow the hospital to implement an electronic medical record.
The Garden Gala is a black-tie event with an elegant dinner and dancing to the music of The Dick Lupino Band. There is an elaborate silent auction planned with artwork, weekend getaways, themed gift-baskets, restaurant packages and tickets to sporting events.
The live auction portion of the Garden Gala, conducted by Christopher Yalanis, will be the highlight of the evening. Featured packages will include a custom-designed water garden, installed in your yard by Tranquil Water Gardens, trips to exclusive gardens and more.
Serving as co-chairs and corporate sponsor chairs for this year’s ball are Memorial Hospital trustees Donna Brady, Senior Vice President, Citizens Bank, and Patrick J. Murray, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Bristol County Savings Bank. They note that the hospital’s past galas have attracted more than 500 guests.
