BROAD STREET

LTE: ‘Broad Street Initiative’

June 6th, 2010 · No Comments

Greetings!

We would like to announce a recent update as part of the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council’s ‘Broad Street Initiative’.  The Broad Street Initiative began in 2008 as a plan to revitalize the Broad Street Corridor in Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Cumberland, RI.  This plan includes introducing a bike route, sidewalk cafes, small business grants, street trees, community gardens, and other improvements to this area.  Currently, we need your help in our efforts to receive a Pepsi Refresh Grant.  You can help us win this grant with an online vote!  A 60 second investment could net Broad Street $50,000.

Voting is open to the public and each person is allowed one vote per day per email address for all of June.

Please follow the instructions below and Vote for Broad Street.  There is a slight inconvenience the first time you vote, as they make you fill in your name, email address, etc.  But after that all you have to do is sign in each day.  Here are the instructions.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP!

  1. Click on this link: http://www.refresheverything.com/broadstreet
  2. Click ‘Vote for this Idea’
  3. Fill in the necessary information (make sure to remember your password)
  4. IMPORTANT: When re-directed to the Broad Street page, click on ‘Vote for this Idea’ for a second time.  This is your actual vote.
  5. You are done.

Thank you!
