BILL LYNCH

Cumberland, Lincoln Democratic Town Committees Endorse Bill Lynch

July 10th, 2010 · No Comments

Pawtucket, RI – The Bill Lynch for Congress campaign announced today the endorsements of the Cumberland and Lincoln Democratic Town Committees.

“We’re proud to offer our support for Bill Lynch’s campaign for Congress,” said Tom Scully, chairman of the Cumberland Democratic Town Committee. “His focus on job creation, containing health care costs and reforming politics as usual will lead to real relief here at home. Bill has always made himself available to us and as a result, we’ve had the opportunity to get to know him. This type of personal representation is exactly what Rhode Islanders need.”

“We are confident in Bill’s candidacy and happy to have him advocate on behalf of the Ocean State,” added Dean Lees, chairman of Lincoln’s 3rd District Committee. “Bill has demonstrated his leadership outside the political arena for more than 20 years and that is the type of authentic representation Rhode Island needs now.”

“I am honored and privileged to receive the backing of these two committees,” stated Lynch. “I’m running for Congress because I know it’s going to take more than repeated rhetoric and campaign gimmicks to fix this current mess – it’s going to take practical, progressive legislation to help struggling Rhode Islanders. I am building a coalition of towns and individuals committed to ushering in a new era of leadership and I look forward to representing them in Washington.”

Bill Lynch is running strong in the endorsement race among town and city committees in Rhode Island. Lincoln and Cumberland join the East Providence, Warren, Central Falls and Pawtucket Democratic City Committees in supporting Lynch’s campaign for Congress.
