Historic Wickford Village in North Kingstown, will celebrate its 7th Annual Daffodil Days Event on Saturday April 4 and Sunday April 5. This family friendly event sponsored jointly by the Village Merchants Association and Histwick, is a traditional and fun way to celebrate the beginning of spring. Thousands of Daffodils will decorate the streets of this quaint waterfront village. Merchants and residents will both participate in this beautiful display. In addition, special programs will be going on all over town that weekend. Following is a partial list of events.
Saturday
Spring Fashion Show – 12 Noon, Updike Park
Bluegrass Jam Session – 2-5pm Updike Park (all are welcome regardless of skill level)
Historic Walking Tours – 2-3pm St. Paul’s Parish Hall.
Pump Organ Concert by Mark Steinbach – Sat. 3pm Old Narragansett Church
Sunday
Bagpiper – Pipe Major Debbie Kane of RI Pipe & Drum Corp 1-3pm Village wide
Daffy Dog Parade – 12 Noon, Sunday line up at St. Paul’s Parish Hall, bring your pet
Old Narragansett Church Tours – Sat & Sun. 11-4
Children’s Art Exhibit – School Children’s work on display in merchant windows.
Drop by and stroll our historic streets, bring your pet for the parade(leashes please), listen to some music, find your perfect treasure, and help us celebrate Spring!
