Digital Photo Workshop “Outdoor Photography”   Saturday - October 2 - 1:00-4:00pm The Camera Werks 766 Hope Street  Providence, RI  02906       PROVIDENCE:  It’s all in the details! This is an interactive photo workshop for anyone wishing to improve their photographic skills taught by local commercial photographer, Al Weems. The afternoon workshop will focus on picture-taking techniques - which will include an opportunity to better understand the workings of your camera settings and how to translate that into taking a good photo.  Weems will share some of the techniques he has used over the years that has earned him numerous awards for his photos. Students should bring their cameras, (external) flash (if available), instruction books and samples of their work – from the best photo taken to the worst.   This will be an outdoor class with on-location shooting.  Pre-registration is required.  Cost: $80.00

Al Weems is a Providence-based commercial photographer, with over 25 years experience in capturing images to represent a range of clients including Fortune 500 companies and some of the largest organizations in the region. His goal has been to allow his images to speak for themselves – and his work spans from culinary to portraiture, events to architecture. Al will work with a client from project initiation through completion to create images with a professional approach that ensures satisfaction. His unique photographic style has set him apart from others and he has earned numerous awards from the Professional Photographic Societies of America, New England and RI. Founded in 1981, The Camera Werks brings a unique hands-on approach to photography by working with local professional photographers in a workshop setting. These photo workshops have included visiting several of Rhode Island’s public and private schools in addition to working with the senior residents at both Laurelmead Assisted Living Facility and Hamilton House in Providence.
