What would March be without a wee bit o’ the Irish? Musicians and storytellers will make your Celtic soul come alive on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 7PM when the Riverside Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., Rhode Island, RI, 02915 hosts “Celebrating Ireland in Story and Song.” With joyful new music and laugh-out-loud new stories each year, Celebrating Ireland is fun for the whole family!
The lively all Irish program features Mary King, a multi-talented fiddler, harpist, and vocalist, Tom Maguire, a whiskey tenor and bodhran player, and Phil Edmonds, a native of Killaloe, County Claire, Ireland, and a master of the tin whistle. Also performing is Marilyn Murphy Meardon, an award-winning actress and storyteller, who has been spinning outlandish yarns for many years.
Come early for a seat, and before long, your toes will be tapping and your hands will be clapping. Irish step dancers of all ages are welcome!
