The Seekonk Public Library is proud to present Celebrating Ireland in Story and Song on Tuesday, March 2 from 6:30 – 7:30pm. Popular storyteller Marilyn Murphy Meardon shares Irish stories to capture the imagination. Tom Maguire, an Irish playwright, joins Ms. Meardon to tell a tale or two. The music comes alive with the talents of County Claire native Phil Edmonds on the tin whistle and button accordion. Fiddler, vocalist, harpist, and leprechaun Mary King, weaves together her gifts of all things Ireland and music to delight all. The Celtic soul is alive and well in the stories and songs you will hear, and your ears and eyes will smile!
This program is free and open to all. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library. For more information contact the Adult Services Department at 508-336-8230, ext.130.
