3^rd  Annual Torch Run Plunge

It’s Winter and it’s cold outside……which means only one thing, it’s time to go “Freezin for a Reason” and raise money to benefit Special Olympics Rhode Island’s year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for over 2,700 individuals with intellectual disabilities.  The 3^rd Annual Torch Run Plunge will take place on Sunday, March 7^th at Easton’s Beach in Middletown.  Be a fan of chills and excitement by joining our local police, fire and corrections’ plungers for a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean.  Registration begins at 10:00am at Johnny’s Atlantic Beach Club, followed by games and a Tug of War on the beach.  The official PLUNGE will take place at 12:00pm with a Post Plunge Party with great food and live music at Johnny’s Atlantic Beach Club beginning at 12:30pm.  All non-plungers can join the party for a $15.00 donation to Special Olympics Rhode Island.

Participants must raise a minimum of $50.00 with incentives given at various fundraising levels.   Start gathering your friends and dress to impress the crowd.  Prizes will be given out for the best costumes.
