TESSA MORANPAWTUCKET – Rhode Island Democratic Party Executive Director Tim Grilo released the following statement today in advance of Republican State Representative John Loughlin’s expected announcement that he is running for Congress in Rhode Island’s first district:
“Patrick Kennedy is a champion for working class families. Time and time again, he’s delivered for our state and stayed focused on the issues that matter to all Rhode Islanders. While I welcome Mr. Loughlin to the race, I expect the voters will send Congressman Kennedy back to Washington to represent them with the same passion and experience he’s brought to the job over the last eight terms.
