Greetings!

Along with the bustling excitement of approximately 10,000 art lovers coming to our Drill Hall to see this year’s Foundry Artists Show, it has been a wonderful season of giving for all of us involved with the Pawtucket Armory Center for the Arts!

In a recent press release we announced the “Shawmut Challenge,” which is a generous $150,000 gift made to Armory Arts by our good friends at Shawmut Design and Construction.  In addition, we have had remarkable success with a 10 x $10,000 initiative our development office has instituted, as we present to the local community a great way to invest in the future of our organization and the City of Pawtucket, while being presented with a once-in-a-lifetime naming opportunity.

As our good fortune continues to flow, we recently learned that the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts (RISCA) is generously supporting a Cape Verdean music and education series we are doing in June, as well as The Gamm Theatre’s continued work with the JMW Arts High School students.  One of our valued community partners, ECAS Theater, has received support of their two March performances of Asi Que Pasen Cinco Anos, which will be held in the Armory Drill Hall.  Also, thanks to the generosity of the Richard F. Stoico Foundation, the entire JMW Arts School student body recently had the opportunity to see Wicked at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

We are truly blessed here at Armory Arts!  For this reason, on behalf of our board of directors and everyone we serve, I extend our deepest thanks to all who have contributed to our success and wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season and prosperous New Year.

Best Regards,

Yvonne Seggerman
