Greening This Old House: How to Make Your Home More
Energy Efficient and Earth-friendly
Sam Brusco of Brusco Design & Renovation, a National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Certified Green Professional and a registered contractor in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, presents Greening This Old House on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 6:30PM at the Riverside Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., Riverside, RI 02915. With the winter in full swring, learn how you can save money on your heating and cooling bills and improve your health and well-being at the same time.
According to Sam, a “green” contractor pays attention to energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, the use of sustainable or repurposed/recycled products, and protecting indoor air quality. Sam includes all these topics in his Power Point presentation along with his own building and renovation experiences. Sam’s Certified Green Professional designation by the NAHB recognizes him as a builder/remodeler who incorporates green building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction.
This program is free and open to all, however registration is recommended. To register, call 433-4877 or email Adult Services Librarian Joyce May at eplibraryjoyce@yahoo.com.
