  Stone Soup Coffeehouse is celebrating an Anniversary when John Fuzek and Mary Ann Rossoni perform together on the Stone Soup stage on December 5, 2009. Deb DoVale opens.

Stone Soup is located at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket, RI.  Concerts start at 8:00 PM; tickets are $15.00 and available at the door or through PayPal on our website. (Stone Soup is wheelchair-accessible.)

 Fuzek-Rossoni was formed twenty years ago when John Fuzek and Mary Ann Rossoni simultaneously ran ads in the “musicians wanted” classifieds of the Newpaper (now called the Providence Phoenix). They began writing songs and recorded two critically acclaimed recordings. Their first record, “Living with the Fury and the Fire” went on to win many awards in the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll of 1990. The songs they created dealt with such issues as relationships, politics and the environment. Tight harmonies and nice blends of rhythm, lead and finger style acoustic guitar were their trademark. After 7 years together they decided to take a break and musically began to move in different directions. Today, these good friends are both accomplished solo performers and part of the driving force behind the RI Songwriters Association. Their song, On This First Night, was released on two editions of the Big Noise First Night CDs and was often played to accompany the fireworks that closed First Night.

They have shared the stage with such notable performers as Noel “Paul” Stookey River Phoenix, Richie Havens, Marshall Crenshaw, Don McLean (American Pie), Tom Rush and many others…

Deb DoVale is a singer-songwriter from Cranston, RI.  She is a member of the Rhode Island Songwriters Association (RISA) and has contributed songs to several compilation CD’s benefiting local non-profit organizations. She has recorded her own CD, “One More Cartwheel”, which features lyrics that are both observational and moving. For those who enjoy the words and the storytelling that enfolds around the music, come enjoy the whole experience.
