Providence, RI- The Citizens Bank Foundation awarded a $10,000 grant to the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence to fund various Domestic Violence Awareness Month programs this October, including a statewide victims’ march. This organization works with its member agencies to raise local public awareness about domestic violence services and encourages Rhode Islanders to get involved in the national initiative to end domestic violence. Member agencies include: the Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center in Pawtucket; the Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County in Wakefield; Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center of Warwick; Sojourner House and the Women’s Center of Rhode Island in Providence; and the Women’s Resource Center of Newport & Bristol.
