Does ANYBODY know where/how to get Ratty’s Meat Pies? (I may have an incorrect spelling of “Ratty’s.” Please forgive me.) 

At least once per year, for thirty years, my husband tells me anew about Ratty’s Meat Pies. During his childhood, apparently every single Sunday, his family made a trip to a bakery (possibly in Pawtucket? East Providence? Attleboro?) to buy and enjoy one. Or several. Over the years, I have purchased meat pies from every conceivable source (including LaSallette shrine), but they are always dismissed as not measuring up….

I came across your newspaper yesterday in Seekonk. Perhaps among all your staff, someone knows where to get an official Ratty’s Meat Pie? Or what might be considered (by those “in the know”) the next best thing? Or, can officially tell me that they do not exist?

 If no one on staff can answer with authority, do you think your readers might? What type of ad would I place? Something in the classifieds?

Or maybe it would make an interesting article, soliciting readers’ memories of Ratty’s Meat Pies, and how they are managing without them?

My husband is presently working in Florida and I’ll be sending him WillowTree Chicken Pot Pies. But if I could come up with a Ratty’s Meat Pie, well, that would be heaven!
