FAMILIES CAN HAVE FUN TOGETHER ON AUGUST 8th
The YMCA of Pawtucket has put together a jam-packed and value-friendly Family Fun Day that parents and their children can thoroughly enjoy on Aug. 8.
For only $20, families can play a top-notch miniature golf course, have a delicious lunch and enjoy one of the finest swimming facilities in Rhode Island.
Family Fun Day kicks off at 9 a.m., when vehicles will leave the Pawtucket Family YMCA, 20 Summer St., for Fantasyland at 1300 Fall River Ave. (Route 6) in Seekonk. Families will play miniature golf there, starting at 10 a.m.
After a round on Fantasyland’s challenging and entertaining course, it’s off to the YMCA’s MacColl Field facility at 26 Breakneck Hill Road in Lincoln for a hot dog roast and an afternoon of swimming. Facilities at MacColl Field include two water slides and a spray park. Families are scheduled to return to the Summer Street location at 3:30 p.m.
Fun Day is in keeping with the YMCA’s mission to strengthen families by offering activities to enhance family participation, parent-child relationships and family unity. Proceeds from Family Fun Day helps support the YMCA’s “Support-A-Child” campaign, which covers the costs of sending needy children to camp and providing others with YMCA memberships. All proceeds will be used to keep the YMCA strong during these turbulent times. The YMCA’s goal is to raise over 800 camperships and 300 youth memberships for needy kids this year.
