Free Tours aboard the Blackstone Valley Explorer Sunday, July 5 in Celebration of Indpendence Day Holiday Weekend

Weather Delays Citizens Bank Free Sunday on the River

Central Falls, RI – June 29, 2009 – Join the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council and Citizens Bank Foundation in celebrating the Fourth of July weekend with free tours aboard the Blackstone Valley Explorer. Citizens Bank Free Sundays on the River that were scheduled last week had to be postponed due to the predicted thunderstorms and will be offered this Sunday in celebration of the Holiday weekend. In addition, we will continue our regular Free Sundays on the River program with Citizens Bank Foundation on the last Sunday of the month, Sunday, July 26, August 30, and September 27.

Tours depart on the hour at 1, 2, 3 & 4 pm every Sunday from the Central Falls Landing at the corner of Broad Street and Madeira Avenue. Ticket prices for our regular Sunday tours are $10.00/adults, $8.00/seniors and children 12 & under. The Blackstone Valley Explorer, a 49-passenger riverboat, is also available for special charters, summer camp programs, and senior groups.
