As part of their 300-year celebration, Wickford Village is hosting an Art du Jour Event on June 20th with a rain date of June 21st, sponsored by the Wickford Art Association. Artists will set up in various locations around the Village to create their favorite scene. Artwork must be created from 11am to 4pm followed by a 5pm reception and chance to sell their art. All artwork must be created the day of the reception. Wickford Package Store has graciously offered to hold the reception in the “Tasting Room” of their new facility on West Main Street. Interested artists may call Kristen Bryce at the Wickford Art Association at 294-6840 or e-mail her at gallery@wickfordart.org. for more information and to register for the event. Deadline for registration is Saturday, June 13th. Help us celebrate 300 years of art in Wickford.
