PAWTUCKET – Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island’s Childbirth Education Program has scheduled the following classes. Registration is required.
The schedule includes:
Prepared Childbirth Classes – This series meets for four weeks in Sayles Conference Room 1. The classes are recommended for women during the last two months of pregnancy to teach about labor and birth. Topics covered include labor coping skills, breathing patterns, when to go to the hospital, a tour of the hospital, birth movie and newborn care.
English sessions include: May 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Early Pregnancy Class – This free, one-time class is recommended for women in the first six months of pregnancy. Topics include nutrition, the baby’s development, physical and emotional changes. This month’s session will be on May 19, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Sayles Conference Room 1.
