PAWTUCKET, RHODE ISLAND – April 29, 2009

Narragansett Bay Insurance Company announced that Sandra C. Donnelly has joined the company as a specialized Underwriter for New Jersey. Ms. Donnelly will build effective agency relationships by utilizing her strong technical and communication skills.

In her position, she will participate in the selection of agents and their clients; review risk characteristics; perform audits; and assist with the training of agents. Ms. Donnelly will concentrate on New Jersey agents and have the responsibility to train agents in NBIC’s home risk improvement tool, ShelterPride.^SM

Before joining Narragansett Bay Insurance, Ms. Donnelly was a personal lines underwriter and senior service representative with Travelers Insurance for five years. She provided technical underwriting support and made underwriting decisions on new business, renewals, and referrals. She specialized in underwriting for Pennsylvania and Delaware and is recognized for achieving superior quality assurance results.

Prior to entering the insurance industry, Ms. Donnelly worked as a communications associate for the Fall River Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. Ms. Donnelly is a 2007 cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in writing, communications, and rhetoric. She is a resident of Fall River and is fluent in Portuguese.
